Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Spotlite, an app published by Javier Pérez Lavadie (sole proprietor), prohibits all forms of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards apply to the Spotlite app (Android, iOS and web) and to all of its services: profiles, videos, posts, messaging, Smartlink, Pitch, blog and recruiter space. They complement our Community Guidelines, our Moderation Charter and our Terms of Use.

1. Zero tolerance#

The following are strictly prohibited, without exception:

  • any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether real, drawn, edited or generated by artificial intelligence;
  • any sexualized depiction of a minor, even suggestive;
  • soliciting a minor for sexual purposes (grooming), including through private messages;
  • sextortion, and any threat to share intimate images of a minor;
  • child trafficking, and any offer of or request for sexual contact with a minor;
  • promoting or normalizing the sexual abuse of children, and sharing links to or means of accessing such content.

Any violation results, without prior warning, in the removal of the content, the permanent closure of the account and the blocking of the associated device. The appeal provided for in the Moderation Charter remains available, but content whose violation is confirmed is never restored.

2. Minimum age#

Spotlite is a professional platform reserved for people aged 16 or over. An account that we learn belongs to a younger person is closed and its data is deleted.

3. Prevention and detection#

  • Automated moderation: videos, images, texts and profiles are analyzed by artificial intelligence tools, at publication or afterwards. Content deemed to seriously violate these standards is automatically hidden or removed.
  • Priority human review: every report related to a child's safety is reviewed first, by a person.
  • Blocking: every member can block another account from its profile ("…" menu).

4. Reporting content or behavior#

  • In the app, without leaving it: "…" menu of the content or profile, then "Report".
  • By email: contact-us@spotlite-app.com, with the subject "Child safety". Describe the content and give its link or the account name. Never attach the image or video itself.

If a child is in immediate danger, call the police or your local emergency number first (112 in the European Union). Outside France, illegal content can also be reported to your national authority or to the NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org).

5. Handling and reporting to authorities#

As soon as we become aware of child sexual abuse material or of a situation in which a child is being exploited:

  • we remove or block the content without delay;
  • we close the account and block the associated device;
  • we preserve the data needed for the investigation, available to the authorities only;
  • we report it to the competent authorities: in France, the PHAROS platform of the Ministry of the Interior; elsewhere, the competent national authority or the CyberTipline of the NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children).

We act in accordance with the French law on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and applicable child protection laws, and we cooperate with judicial and law enforcement authorities. The author of the content is not informed of the report when the law or the authorities require it.

6. Point of contact#

Spotlite has designated a child safety officer, who can be reached at contact-us@spotlite-app.com (subject "Child safety"). This officer can speak to our prevention, detection and reporting practices, and gives priority to requests from authorities and child protection organizations.
