Purpose of the program#

The Independent Journalists program allows the publication and distribution of editorial audio content, podcasts, columns and professional analyses, in order to improve the visibility, discoverability and understanding of journalistic work among a targeted audience.

License on editorial content#

By publishing content, the journalist grants SpotLite a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license, allowing the hosting, distribution, reproduction, indexing, promotion and technical exploitation of the content as part of the platform's services.

Semantic analysis and automated processing#

Published content may be subject to automated processing: transcription, semantic analysis, topic detection, summary generation and indexing. This processing aims to improve recommendation, search and contextualization.

Use for AI model training#

The journalist acknowledges that editorial content published in a professional context may be used, in raw, transformed or anonymized form, to train, evaluate and improve SpotLite's artificial intelligence models, without specific remuneration and without retroactive removal from models already trained. The journalist has the objection and withdrawal rights provided for in our AI & Data Charter; this withdrawal applies for the future.

Editorial responsibility#

The journalist remains solely responsible for the published content and warrants its accuracy, lawfulness and the absence of any third-party rights violation. SpotLite exercises no prior editorial control and acts as a host, subject to its Moderation Charter.

Suspension and removal from the program#

SpotLite may suspend or remove access to the program in the event of a breach of these terms, abusive behavior or legal or reputational risk to the platform, under the conditions provided for in our Terms of Use.
