SpotLite implements content moderation to ensure a safe professional environment, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (Digital Services Act — DSA) and applicable law. This charter describes our rules, our means of action and your remedies.
1. Prohibited content and behavior#
The following are notably prohibited: illegal content; harassment and hate speech; graphic violence; explicit or unsolicited sexual content; the glorification of illegal activities; impersonation and fake profiles; disinformation and scams (phishing, fraud); the submission of falsified documents; defamation; and unauthorized data extraction. The complete list appears in our Community Guidelines and our Terms of Use.
2. Automated and human moderation#
We use automated AI moderation tools to analyze content (videos, images, text, profiles) and detect violations, in real time or after the fact. Content flagged as seriously contrary to the rules may be restricted, hidden or removed automatically, and access to the source file removed. Human moderators intervene for complex cases and the review of appeals.
3. Reporting (notice and action)#
Any user can report content or behavior they consider unlawful or contrary to our rules, via the integrated reporting tool (the "…" menu) or at contact-us@spotlite-app.com. We acknowledge receipt of reports, process them diligently, in a non-arbitrary and objective manner, and inform the reporter of the outcome when their contact details are available.
4. Measures and sanctions#
Depending on the severity and recurrence, measures may range from a warning to content removal, visibility restriction, temporary suspension, up to the permanent termination of the account and the blocking of the associated device (device identifier ban). The submission of a falsified document to the Proof Vault results in a permanent ban.
5. User information and reasons for decisions#
When we restrict or remove content you have published, or take action against your account, we inform you and communicate, as far as possible, the reasons for the decision (statement of reasons), unless legally prohibited or in the case of manifestly unlawful or misleading content on a large scale.
6. Internal appeal and dispute resolution#
You can contest any moderation decision by replying to the notification received or by writing to contact-us@spotlite-app.com. Your appeal is re-examined, where applicable by a human moderator who did not make the initial decision. You retain the possibility of using an out-of-court dispute resolution body certified under the DSA, as well as judicial remedies.
7. Point of contact#
To report content, contest a decision or for any question relating to moderation: use the integrated reporting tool (the "…" menu) or write to contact-us@spotlite-app.com. This is our point of contact for users under this charter.
