Purpose of the program and visibility#

The Musician Artists program allows creators to distribute their works to accompany candidates' presentation videos. The artist acknowledges that this program is based on an exchange of visibility: their name and redirect links (Spotify, Instagram, etc.) are displayed on videos using their music. In exchange for this professional exposure to candidates and recruiters, the artist expressly waives any financial, distribution or copyright royalty from SpotLite.

License and local mixing right#

By uploading musical content, the artist grants SpotLite a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable and royalty-free license, for the entire legal duration of protection. This license authorizes SpotLite and its users to merge, overlay and mix the music track with presentation videos or voice-overs — including locally on users' devices — creating inseparable derivative content.

Use for AI and analysis#

Uploaded tracks are subject to automated semantic and audio analysis by our AI systems, in order to suggest the best audio atmospheres to candidates according to their field. The artist agrees that this analysis data, as well as the tracks themselves (in raw, transformed or anonymized form), may be kept and used by SpotLite, including to train, evaluate and improve its artificial intelligence models, under the conditions and with the objection rights provided for in our AI & Data Charter.

Content removal and non-retroactive effect#

The artist can remove a track from the public library at any time, which prevents any new video creation with that track. This removal has no retroactive effect, however: videos already created and published containing that track will continue to exist and circulate, with no possibility of requiring their removal.

Intellectual property warranty (anti-fraud)#

The artist warrants that they are the author and exclusive legal owner of 100% of the rights (compositions, samples, lyrics) of the published tracks. They undertake to fully warrant and indemnify SpotLite against any third-party claim or action (labels, publishers, collecting societies such as SACEM) related to the use of protected works without authorization.

Deactivation and blocking period#

To preserve the stability of the library for the community, SpotLite may restrict, suspend or exclude an artist from the program in the event of abusive behavior or breach of these terms. Any exclusion or voluntary deactivation of the artist account prevents any re-registration as an artist for a period of 9 months.
